To Air is Human
It’s shortly past nine in the morning and I’ve had a cup of tea, added some CSS styling on the site, and done Wordle. Other than that, nothing really. I’m still in my pyjamas, my bed is not made, and my hair may require a towel if I have to answer the door. I’ve quickly checked to see if there are any deliveries scheduled today that require me to look presentable. Yes, really. And no, the bed isn’t made. I like to think it is gently airing and cleansing itself while I type this post.
Since I live alone, the truly concerning part is I could still be in this position at midnight. I find it easy to get completely absorbed in a project and sometimes even forget to eat. That’s when it hit me. I need a lady’s maid.
How do I make that happen?
Anything is possible so I reflect for a moment. Who better to take excellent care of me than me? I know what I like, my strengths and weaknesses, and exactly how to set up a routine that works for me.
So why haven’t I done it? Well, I’ve been luxuriating in living alone.
When I had my first apartment decades ago, the fridge had chocolate milk and the cupboard had a box of Honeycomb and a couple of silver wine goblets. This is no different. However, it’s only fun for so long and I’m now at the point of having to adult for the second time in my life.
Step one is making the bed immediately after a morning shower. I may actually style my hair instead of air drying and being surprised.
Step two? Once the first step is accomplished, step two should be obvious.
